About The Role

Orion Marketing Pty Ltd is looking for a permanent part time, casual or contractor SEO Copywriter. This role would suit an experienced and established copywriter looking for part time work, or a junior copywriter looking to establish their writing portfolio.

Your Responsibilities

This is a supportive role to the Director with the following responsibilities:

• Draft fun and engaging articles
• Use Google to research content ideas and topics
• Rewrite content to pass copyscape
• Draft copy for:
  • Websites, service pages and blogs
  • Guest posts
  • Media releases
• Regular client communication and project tracking
• Build relationships with external bloggers, publications and webmasters to secure guest post placements
• Use platforms like SourceBottle
• Assist with our ongoing SEO campaigns

Essential Criteria – Skills and Experience

Please address these points in your cover letter:

1. You have a degree and relevant experience in Communications, PR, Journalism or Digital Marketing
2. You have at least one year of proven copywriting experience and a portfolio of content to demonstrate this
3. You are proficient in Word, Google Docs, Gmail, and Trello/Basecamp or related project management tools
4. You are a confident and professional communicator with demonstrated experience in client communication
5. You have great project coordination skills with an eye for detail and quality control
6. Desirable: experience with Google Analytics and keyword research

Benefits and Perks

Salary: Rate of pay negotiable, depending on your experience, ~$40 per hour range negotiable.
